Matthew 5:4; “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” Jesus will comfort you in your time of mourning and grief. Before He went to the Cross, He prayed for His disciples. John 14:16,27; 16. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.” 27. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” The Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, teaches and reminds us of what God has said.
He imparts spiritual peace upon us. 2Corinthians 1:3-4; 3. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4. Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” We go through adversities or worry, but God comforts us and we should also comfort one another. Isaiah 41:10; “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” He is always with you.
He will lift you up and strengthen you through the trials, tribulations and storms you may encounter in your life. Psalms 34:18; “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” Psalms 147:3; “He healeth the broken, and bindeth up their wounds.” God heals our hearts and comforts us through times of grief and hard times. Psalms 116:15; “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
You are precious to God. He calls you beloved. Romans 1:7; “To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Revelations 21:4; “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” This is a comfort in itself. If there be tears, they will be tears of joy and not of sorrow. You will have blessed peace with the Lord in times of adversity, tribulation and hardship.
